Hi,

Auto Tuning Settings. Standby Auto Tuning - turn this OFF. My TV had been set to Auto Tune 2 hours after turning TV off. I've got a really simple setup.

Samsung Tv Auto Tuning Offers

A Denon AVR-3313 (only using MAIN ZONE) and a Samsung Smart TV UE46D8000 connected via HDMI (on Monitor 1).
I would like to achieve the following: when I turn on or off my Denon, and I use an output channel which requires video (such as my Apple TV or Cable Digicorder - all connected via HDMI), that the TV switches on.
I could even live with the fact that, if I turn on my receiver, that the TV switches on.Samsung Tv Auto Tuning Off
I've set all possible option on the Denon:
  • Trigger Out - All switched on,
  • HDMI Setup/HDMI Control - Switched on,
  • Control Monitor - Monitor 1,
  • Power Off Control - All
and on the Samsung:
  • AnyNet+,
  • ECO,
  • ..
but nothing works.
Using the AnyNet+ on the Samsung does switches off my receiver, when I switch of the TV, but that is not what I want..
I was of the impression that this was something HDMI could do..
Any thoughts?

Samsung Tv Turn Off Auto Tuning

Help please. I have bought a new Samsung TV UE32K4100AKXXU and each time switched off completely (i.e. no power from the mains) the TV states no channels and has to be auto tuned in again. It is fine if left in standby mode. Would like to understand what's happening here- and if it can be rectified? thanks.

It's brand new and seems to be faulty, demand a replacement, do not accept a repair. If you have to send it back somewhere make a note of the serial number to ensure it is a genuine replacement as any repair might be a bodge that doesn't last.

There are really only two reasons I can think of for this. The TV is faulty or it's 'operator error'.
Operator error would be you kicking off a scan for channels and then not selecting the option to save the channels permanently if such an option is presented. So the channels only work until you switch off. However I would say that is unlikely as on all the TV's I've used that ask to save channels won't even temporarily store them if you select NO so you can only view programmes if you select YES.
Which leaves the faulty TV option. Sounds like the memory that stores the tuning information is not being maintained when the power is removed. There is probably nothing you can do to rectify this yourself. So contact whoever you bought it from and get them to sort it. Read this which explains your legal rights,

I have a similar fault on a different Samsung TV.
The TV is a UE40KU6400 which, despite the technical description on the Samsung website, comes with a satellite tuner, and Freesat. The TV was configured with a Welsh post code, but kept loosing the channels from a Favourites group where Freesat changes the channel number according to the post code. I suspect a firmware fault. I think I can circumvent the problem by using a London post code. and having channel 976 BBC One Wales HD at the start of the favourites group.
I plan to call Samsung support to see what they have to say.
